Everton are confident of signing three new players late in the window after having a bid accepted by Juventus for Moise Kean, Football Insider can reveal.
The Merseysiders have agreed the terms of a fee of £27million rising to a potential £36.6million with the Serie A champions for Kean following extensive negotiations.
An Everton source has told Football Insider that recruitment chief Marcel Brands is working on recruiting three first-team standard players, including Kean, in the final 10 days of the window.
In addition to the striker, Brands also wants to bring in a proven midfield anchorman to replace Idrissa Gueye, who signed for Paris Saint-Germain today, and a senior centre-back.
The source explained that the director of football is working on multiple deals and across various negotiations, and is increasingly hopeful of presenting manager Marco Silva with the players he wants by the transfer window cut-off next week.
The potentially imminent signing of Kean will be welcomed by Silva, as he will provide new impetus to the forward line, which has lacked a top quality spearhead since Romelu Lukaku’s departure.
As revealed by Football Insider yesterday, Everton have offered a total package in fee and wages of nearly £56million to push the deal for Kean over the finish line.
Italy international Kean is regarded as one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe after scoring seven goals from 17 matches for Juventus last season, six of which came from 13 Serie A fixtures.
Everton do not want to stop at recruiting Kean, and there is growing confidence they will add two more players to the capture of the teenager over the next 10 days.
In other Everton news, it can be REVEALED that the club have agreed the terms of a £29million deal.
