Sources: Ex-Liverpool midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner agrees to join Queens Park Rangers
Former Liverpool midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner has agreed a deal to join Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
The attacking midfielder, 21, is a free agent after leaving Anfield when his contract expired in July.
It is understood that Dixon-Bonner has signed a deal at QPR that runs until the end of the season.
He has been training with the Championship club in recent weeks and has done enough to impress their coaching staff.
The former Arsenal youngster joined Liverpool in 2015 but struggled to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side, making just three first-team appearances during his time at Anfield – two in the FA Cup and one in the EFL Cup.
R’s boss Michael Beale knows the player’s capabilities well after his extensive spell coaching at Liverpool’s academy.
The former England Under-17 made his Liverpool debut against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in January 2020 before playing two further games last season.
Dixon-Bonner was a regular in the Premier League 2 last season, making 11 appearances and scoring three goals.
The midfielder has extensive experience of youth football, making 55 total appearances for the Reds’ Under-21 side between 2017 and 2022.
He has also featured for England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels.

Queens Park Rangers are next in action against Reading on Friday (7 October).
They sit 4th in the Championship after winning six of their opening 12 league games.
