Sources: Four senior Tottenham stars in talks to join new clubs after Levy green light
Four Tottenham Hotspur stars are in talks to join new clubs before the window shuts, sources have told Football Insider.
Lazio are close to signing Hugo Lloris, Inter Milan are pursuing Japhet Tanganga, Rennes are working on a deal to sign Tanguy Ndombele and Real Sociedad are negotiating the capture of Sergio Reguilon.
The senior quartet have all been told they are free to go by the 1 September cut-off by chairman Daniel Levy after talks with Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham are working to reshape their squad following the club-record sale of Harry Kane.
The prolific striker won’t be the last of the big names to go, with deals advancing for those not key to Postecoglou’s plans.
Harry Winks has also departed Spurs for Leicester this summer, while Joe Rodon has followed the midfielder to the Championship with a loan move to Leeds.
Lloris has been at Tottenham for 11 years but struggled with injury and form last season – keeping nine clean sheets across 31 appearances in all competitions.
He has been replaced as captain by Heung-min Son in the clearest signal yet that he will be leaving the club – despite having one year left to run on his contract.
Tanganga made just seven appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign and was not named on the bench for Sunday’s (13 August) season-opening draw with Brentford.
He has two years left to run on his Spurs deal.

Both Ndombele and Reguilon spent last season out on loan at Napoli and Atletico Madrid respectively, with the former lifting the Serie A title during his time in Italy.
The duo were brought to the club for big money but have flattered to deceive in the Premier League and are now set to return to their homelands.
In other news, Tottenham ready to seal defender deal – it’s a “priority” for Postecoglou.
