Sources: Hibernian agree to sign Bristol City sensation Reuben McAllister on three-year deal

Bristol City midfielder Reuben McAllister has agreed a deal to join Hibernian, sources have told Football Insider.

The two clubs have come to an agreement on a 120,000 fee plus add-ons for the transfer of the 16-year-old.

McAllister will put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Easter Road.

The midfielder is the son of Hibernian‘s current assistant manager Jamie McAllister.

The teenager is regarded as one of the most promising talents in the country having already played regularly for Bristol City’s under-23s.

McAllister has been watched regularly by scouts since making his debut for the Robins’ under-23’s at the age of just 15 against QPR last October.

As revealed by Football Insider (19 June), Leicester City and Brighton were two of a number of clubs weighing up moves for the midfielder.

The attacking midfielder was offered a scholarship by Bristol City, who were desperate to keep a hold of their player.

However, the Championship club have lost out amid interest from Premier League and Scottish Premiership sides.

McAllister is set to join his father and manager Lee Johnson at Easter Road.

The Edinburgh club have been busy in the transfer market so far.

They have made multiple free agent signings in this window, including big names David Marshall and Aiden McGeady, who worked with Lee Johnson at Sunderland.

Hibernian face Clyde on Saturday (9 July) in the group stage of the Scottish League Cup.
