Sources: Hutchinson set to re-sign for Sheffield Wednesday today
Sam Hutchinson will sign a short-term contract today with Sheffield Wednesday, Football Insider understands.
The 31-year-old is a free agent after leaving Pafos FC and is set to pen a deal at Hillsborough that will run until the end of the season.
This site revealed on Saturday that Hutchinson was set to undergo a Wednesday medical after agreeing terms.
A club source has now told Football Insider that the deal is set to be finalised today before being announced.
Hutchinson left Sheffield Wednesday in the summer after a six year spell at the club in which he amassed over 150 appearances in all competitions.
He moved to Pafos FC but after playing just five games his contract was terminated.

Speaking to Yorkshire Live last week, Wednesday captain Barry Bannan described Hutchinson as “a winner” and said that he would welcome him back to the club this month.
A product of the Chelsea academy, Hutchinson has also spells at Nottingham Forest and Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in his career.
The defensive midfielder, who can also play across the back-four, could become Wednesday’s second signing of the January window.
The club announced the capture of former Aston Villa winger Andre Green on 14 January.
The Championship side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Everton last night in a 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park.
However, Wednesday’s league form is more of a concern to caretaker manager Neil Thompson.
