Sources: Leeds United could now replace Summerville with Premier League star

Leeds have identified Emmanuel Dennis as a potential replacement for Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto, sources have told Footballer Insider.

Both players are expected to leave before the end of the window following the Whites’ relegation to the Premier League season.

As a result, Leeds are currently running background checks on Dennis before advancing with a transfer.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (5 July) that Everton and Aston Villa alongside other Premier League clubs are interested in signing Leeds United star Gnonto.

On 24 April, Football Insider revealed that Leeds would be forced to sell the star winger if they were relegated to the Championship. The Whites would demand a fee north of £40million to let him quit the club this summer.

The 19-year-old’s contract at Elland Road runs until 2027 after he joined from FC Zurich last year for a reported fee of just under £4million.

With the expected departure of Gnonto, Football Insider exclusively revealed on Friday (14 July) that Leeds are considering a move to sign Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis.

Nottingham Forest will allow Emmanuel Dennis to leave the club this summer amid interest from the Whites, sources have told Football Insider.

Nottingham Forest

Dennis had tough campaign last season and Forest are prepared to let him leave which Leeds are aware of.

The Premier League side also has a bloated squad and are willing to sell Dennis in order to strengthen their own attack.
