Sources: Luton Town agree to sign ex-Arsenal star Matt Macey
Luton Town have agreed to sign Hibernian goalkeeper Matt Macey, Football Insider understands.
The Championship outfit have closed a deal for the 27-year-old with number one James Shea still recovering from a knee injury.
A Luton source has told Football Insider that terms have been agreed with Macey and a deal should be completed soon.
He only joined Hibs in January 2021 from Arsenal but impressed during his short stint north of the border.
Luton had to end their Championship campaign with Matt Ingram between the posts after he signed from Hull City on an emergency loan.
The 28-year-old played the final two games of the 2021-22 Championship season for the Hatters as well as the two-legged play-off semi-final defeat to Huddersfield Town.

He has now signed a new three-year deal with Hull on Thursday (16 June) and Luton have turned to Macey as a permanent solution to their goalkeeper problem.
Shea could be missing until next April with a knee injury so Nathan Jones has moved quickly to find a replacement.
Macey kept 18 clean sheets in 51 games across all competitions for Hibs and still has a year left on his contract.
The Edingburgh club have already brought in David Marshall on a free transfer from QPR to replace him.
Luton finished sixth in the Championship in the 2021-22 season before losing to Huddersfield in the play-offs.
As well as Shea, the Hatters also have Harry Isted on their books.
