Sources: Major update on Jakub Kiwior agreeing last-gasp Arsenal move
Arsenal are unwilling to allow Jakub Kiwior to leave the club late in the January window amid reported interest from Italian giants AC Milan, sources have told Football Insider.
The Gunners only brought the defender, 23, to the club 12 months ago and they are not ready to let him go despite his lack of action.
Kiwior has been widely linked with AC Milan as they search for a new centre-back in the mid-season window.
But with Arsenal readying a huge push for both the Champions League and Premier League titles, it is believed they will refuse all offers for the Poland international’s services.
Sources say Kiwior is set to stay put with the Gunners unable to source a replacement before Thursday’s (1 February) transfer deadline.
The left-footer has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far in the 2023-24 campaign.
However, he has played just 707 minutes of action with only seven of those outings coming as part of the starting lineup.
Kiwior joined Arsenal last year (2023) from Italian side Spezia for a reported £20million, signing a contract until June 2028.
The 19-cap Poland international has proved a versatile option for Mikel Arteta’s side since his arrival by filling in for Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back.

Arsenal are yet to make any signings so far in the January transfer window.
The Gunners sit third in the Premier League and face Porto in the Champions League Round of 16 from next month.
