Sources: McTominay now has the power to push through Man United move
Scott McTominay could have the power to push through a January move away from Man United, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the 26-year-old is keen to play regular first-team football ahead of next year’s European Championships in Germany.
McTominay has been a key part of the Scotland squad which is close to qualifying for the tournament, scoring six times in the group phase.

The midfielder is not believed to feature prominently in Erik ten Hag’s plans following the signing of Sofyan Amrabat.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (18 September) that Man United could sanction the sale of McTominay in January to raise funds for new arrivals.
The United youth product was priced out of a potential move in the summer window.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (19 September) that West Ham pulled out of a deal for McTominay after baulking at the Red Devils’ demands.
Meanwhile, the Scotland international has been the subject of fresh links with Bayern Munich – who failed with a deadline-day move for Fulham’s Joao Palhinha.
McTominay made his first start of the season in the 2023-24 campaign in the 3-1 loss against Brighton on Saturday (16 September).
He has played 92 minutes of football across just three appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
Last season, he made 39 appearances across all competitions – but managed only 16 starts in those outings.

McTominay has starred on the international stage for Scotland, scoring six goals in 40 caps for his country.
Steve Clarke’s side can secure qualification for Euro 2024 with a win over Spain next month.
