Sources: Rangers to accept late-window Nedim Bajrami offer

Rangers would seriously consider accepting a late offer for winger Nedim Bajrami before the 2 February transfer deadline, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Ibrox under Danny Rohl, and he is likely to be allowed to leave if a suitable offer comes in for him within the next week.

Rangers are keen to avoid weakening their squad as they push towards the Scottish Premiership title in the second half of the season, but Bajrami is part of a group of fringe players who could still be shown the door.

The Glasgow giants have already added three new faces to their squad in the January window, and the arrival of attacker Andreas Skov Olsen has left the door open for Bajrami to potentially move on.

Nedim Bajrami unable to kick on after promising start at Rangers

Football Insider revealed back in November that Rangers were open to cashing in on Bajrami in the winter window, and that now looks increasingly likely as the deadline looms.

The Albanian made a bright start to life at Ibrox after joining from Italian side Sassuolo for a fee of £3.4million in 2024, but he has struggled to properly establish himself in the starting XI.

His first campaign in Scotland brought five goals and four assists across 44 appearances in all competitions, but he still started just 15 league games.

The summer upheaval at Ibrox has since worked against him, and he has found opportunities to impress even harder to come by under both managers this term.

He was largely used as a bench option by Russell Martin in the early stages of the season, and Rohl hadn’t named him in a matchday squad since 6 December, prior to the win over Dundee last time out.

Bajrami’s future at Rangers has been uncertain for several months, and there is now a chance that he could leave in the coming days.

Rangers learn Tawanda Maswanhise price tag amid Celtic battle

Football Insider revealed last weekend that Motherwell value striker Tawanda Maswanhise at upwards of £4m amid the recent interest from both Rangers and Celtic.

The 23-year-old has quickly become one of the emerging stars of the Premiership in 2025-26, with 16 goals to his name from 28 appearances in all competitions this season.

Maswanhise came through the academy setup at Leicester City before moving to Motherwell in 2024, and he is now spearheading their upturn under Jens Berthel Askou.

Rangers and Celtic are both prepared to battle it out for the frontman, but they would have to part with a significant fee in order to tempt the Well into a potential sale.

Rohl is keen to add another striker to his group before the end of the window, but the Zimbabwe international’s price tag may ultimately prompt him to look elsewhere.
