Sources: Sinani passes Huddersfield medical after agreeing move from Norwich

Norwich City striker Danel Sinani has agreed to join Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan, Football Insider understands.

This site learned yesterday (27 July) the 24-year-old was set to undergo a medical with the Championship side.

An industry source has told Football Insider the forward has now passed a medical and is putting the finishing touches to the transfer.

The move will offer Sinnai his first opportunity of first-team football in England.

He has two years left on his Norwich City contract so they will be hoping he can return to Carrow Road ready to make an impact.

The Luxembourg international moved to the club last April but was loaned out to Waasland-Beveren.

He scored four times in 21 games for the Belgian top-flight outfit but his efforts were not enough to prevent them from being relegated.

Sinnai is now set to become Huddersfield’s seventh signing of the summer and the second striker Norwich have loaned out.

Gassan Ahadme, 20, has moved to League One club Portsmouth and scored eight times in his first four pre-season games.

Town will be hoping Sinnai can have a similar impact in west Yorkshire.

They are set to begin their Championship campaign with a home game against Derby County on 7 August.

Huddersfield finished last season five points above Wayne Rooney’s side who only avoided relegation by a point.

Carlos Corberán has already bolstered his forward ranks with the re-signing of club legend Jordan Rhodes.

In other news, a Premier League club is in advanced talks to sign a Norwich City academy graduate.
