Brentford, Brighton and Southampton are in a race to sign Angers midfielder Angelo Fulgini in January., Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 25-year-old, who scored against PSG last week, is regarded as one of the best talents in France.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the central midfielder is Angers’ most saleable asset and could be available for as little as £12.6million in the next transfer window.
Fulgini’s UK representative, Paul Tait, has confirmed there is a great deal of interest in him from clubs in France and England.
“Lyon, Marseille and Nice are among several clubs interested in Fulgini, but the player would ideally like to come to play in the Premier League,” Tait told Football Insider.
His contract with Angers expires in the summer of 2023.
A versatile talent, Fulgini has played predominantly as an attacking midfielder during his time at Angers.
However, he has both dropped back into a deeper role and pushed forward as a makeshift centre-forward on occasion.
The former France-under-21 international scored 10 goals and contributed four assists in 36 appearances last season.
Meanwhile, his strike against PSG was his first of the current campaign.
