Sources: Tottenham may now accept £100m Harry Kane offer

Tottenham may accept an offer of £100million for Harry Kane, sources have told Football Insider.

A deal for the star striker is likely off the table unless an interested club is willing to pay big money.

The 29-year-old is believed to be open to joining Bayern Munich following talks with the German club’s hierarchy.

Spurs have already rejected Bayern’s opening bid of £60m plus add-ons and Football Insider revealed on Monday (10 July) that the London club are set to reject Thomas Tuchel’s second offer for the England international.

The latest bid is reportedly worth close to £70m plus add-ons but it seemingly won’t be enough to turn the hierarchy’s head.

It is unlikely that Bayern would be willing to meet Spurs’ asking price given Kane’s age and the potential lack of resale value.

The goalscorer has entered the final year of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has been offered a “jaw dropping” new contract, as first revealed by Football Insider on Saturday (8 July).

The latest offer includes a wage rise that would not only improve upon his current £200,000-per-week salary but also make him one of the Premier League’s top earners.

But the striker reportedly has no plans to put pen to paper on an extension before the window shuts.

Kane made 49 appearances for Spurs across all competitions last season, netting 32 goals in an overall disappointing season for the London club.
