Sources: Tottenham tell three senior stars to find new clubs

Tottenham have told senior trio Eric Dier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Hugo Lloris that they can depart the club this January, sources have told Football Insider.

Dier will be allowed to leave for free after Ange Postecoglou has opted to field natural full-back Emerson Royal at centre-back during their injury crisis.

Lloris, who has made 444 appearances across 11 full campaigns in north London, will also be allowed to depart for nothing having not played a single minute of action this season.

Any move for Hojbjerg would depend on whether Tottenham have their £20million valuation met and if they can recruit a suitable replacement.

All three have instructed their agents to find them new clubs after Spurs let them know their services would no longer be required.

The Dane has been a regular for Postecoglou this season having featured in all but one game in all competitions but he has made just three starts in the Premier League.

As revealed by Football Insider last month (15 November), Dier is seriously interested in a move to German giants Bayern Munich, who are plotting a move for the 29-year-old.

Ange Postecoglou

Hojbjerg has been widely linked with a move for Serie A side Juventus, while Lloris is reportedly on the radar of Newcastle United his winter.

Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday (23 December) means they sit fourth in the table ahead of their trip to Brighton on Thursday evening (28 December).
