Sources: Tottenham lay groundwork for ‘huge’ summer signing blitz with one deal already agreed

Tottenham are expected to be busy once again in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs were one of the Premier League’s only active sides in January, bringing Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner to the club, as they were second only to Crystal Palace in the Premier League spending list.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will be backed “hugely” in the summer window.

The Australian is trying to build a youthful, exciting side in north London and has already won over an army of supporters in north London.

18-year-old Sweden international midfielder Lucas Bergvall has already agreed to join Spurs ahead of the summer window.

Tottenham’s plans to back Postecoglou come amid links with Liverpool’s managerial vacancy, but Football Insider has revealed (14 February) he does not have a release clause in his Spurs contract.

The Lilywhites have no plans to lose their boss with Champions League qualification a real possibility – and the Londoners are planning to take their evolution to the next stage this summer.

Top of the target list for the off-season is likely to be a new striker following the loss of record goalscorer Harry Kane last summer (2023).

Football Insider revealed earlier this week (12 February) that Tottenham are stepping up their plans to land a marquee new forward in this year’s summer window.
