Sources: Tottenham youngster ruled out for five weeks
Tottenham youngster Alfie Dorrington has been ruled out for five weeks due to injury, sources have told Football Insider.
The rising star, 17, has broken down after being fast-tracked through Spurs’ youth set-up and being a key member of the club’s Under-21s side this season.
Tottenham expect the centre-back to be out until at least mid-December in what is a blow for their Under-21s.
The London giants will go to the bottom of Premier League 2’s top division if they lose at current bottom club West Ham on Friday night.
Dorrington started the season in Spurs’ Under-18s side but has made such good progress he has established himself for the Under-21s and in the Uefa Youth League.
The Enfield-born talent has also made two starts in the EFL Trophy against Wycombe and Stevenage’s senior sides.
