Sources: West Ham tell Andriy Yarmolenko to find a new club

West Ham have told Andriy Yarmolenko he will not get a new contract and is free to find a new club, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The wide attacker has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager David Moyes ahead of the summer window.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that Yarmolenko is set to leave when his deal expires next month and move on a free transfer.

It will mean a huge loss for the Irons, who recruited the Ukraine international, 32, from Borussia Dortmund for £18m.

Yarmolenko has been a bit-part figure in recent seasons and has held talks over a transfer in previous windows only for deals to collapse.

The Dynamo Kyiv youth product has managed just three goals in 30 appearances this term with, critically, only one of his 17 Premier League appearances coming as a starter.

However, Yarmolenko has made only four starts for West Ham this term after slipping down David Moyes’ pecking order in recent seasons.

Yarmolenko, who earns around £100,000-a-week at the London Stadium, reportedly has interest from Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia ahead of the summer window.

The 106-cap Ukraine star dazzled at Dynamo Kyiv, scoring 137 goals in 340 games.

The winger had a year-long stay at Dortmund after moving to the German giants from his homeland in the summer of 2017.

He earned a move to West Ham in 2018 but failed to hold down a starting berth after an Achilles tendon injury midway through his first campaign.

The forward has even turned out for the Irons’ Under-23 side this term in a bid to remain match-fit.

West Ham sit seventh in the Premier League.
