Spurs Exclusive: Paul Robinson delivers verdict on Hugo Lloris after horror show
Paul Robinson claimed Hugo Lloris was at fault for two of the goals conceded as Tottenham were knocked out of the Champions League.
The former England international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, insisted the 33-year-old was not the sole reason for the loss despite his horror show against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.
A brace from Marcel Sabitzer all but killed off the tie in the first half – Lloris getting a hand to both efforts but ultimately failing in his attempts.
Emil Forsberg added a third late on to seal a 3-0 victory and a 4-0 aggregate win and knockout last season’s finalists.
When asked for his assessment of the France international’s performance on Tuesday night, Robinson told Football Insider: “He should have done better with two of the goals so he will be disappointed but there is more to the performance rather than picking individual errors. The manager cannot justify or legislate individual errors.
“Lloris’s form was disappointing before his injury. He has come back into the team and done well but he will be disappointed with the goals on Tuesday night.

“When you concede two in the first 20 minutes it is a real test of character and attitude and I did not see much of that from Spurs.”
Loris has only made 18 appearances this season for the Lilywhites having been sidelined with an elbow injury for much of the season.
It completes a difficult fortnight for Spurs, having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Norwich and slipped 7 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
