Stan Collymore has this message for Rangers after Celtic defeat

By Amir Mir

Stan Collymore has told Rangers to “mind the gap” on Twitter after Celtic picked up a 2-1 victory at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

The Scottish champions defeated their bitter rivals to open up a 19 point lead at the top of the SPL table.

Mark Warburton’s side had taken the lead early on in the first half when Kenny Miller slotted home.

But summer signing, Moussa Dembele, who had previously scored four goals in two games against the Gers, found the net once again when his powerful shot levelled the scores.

After the break, the away side produced the better opportunities and they were rewarded when Scott Sinclair scored the winner 20 minutes from time.

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker could not help but celebrate the Bhoys win as posted on his personal Twitter account.

This was the fourth time in 2016, the Glasgow duo faced each other, with Celtic picking up three wins and Rangers one.

Mark Warburton first guided his team to a penalty shoot-out win against the Hoops in April when they knocked them out of the Scottish League Cup semi-final.

But following the arrival of Rodgers in the summer, he has overseen his side beat the Gers 5-1 in the SPL and knock their rivals out of the League Cup.

As a result, they remain unbeaten in all domestic competitions this season, but they were knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League.
