Stan Collymore lavishes Tottenham with praise after win against Swansea

By Harvey Byrne

Outspoken pundit Stan Collymore has lavished praise upon Tottenham after they fought to a 3-1 victory against Swansea on Wednesday evening.

For large parts of the game it looked like Spurs may be leaving the Liberty Stadium empty handed after former man Wanye Routledge opened the scoring after just 11 minutes.

However, three late goals from Dele Alli, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen ensured all three points for the north London club once more, allowing them to keep to the pace with top of the league Chelsea.

Now, Tottenham are considered Chelsea’s main rivals for the Premier League title and Collymore would seem to agree, writing on his personal Twitter account that he was a big fan of the Spurs set-up alongside a summary of the battle at the top.

Tottenham were also considered Leicester’s main contenders for the title in the last campaign, but a late collapse meant they fell well behind the eventual champions and even dropped down to third.

However, they will be aiming for a much better finish this time around and positive results without the likes of Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama and Hugo Lloris who are all set to make their return before the season’s end will only help the team push on.
