Stan Collymore believes that Liverpool will be be held to a four-goal draw with Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The former Reds attacker has predicted a 2-2 draw between the two in-form Premier League clubs, however although he sees Jurgen Klopp’s side avoiding defeat, it may not be a great result for them to concede two away goals.

Collymore posted his predictions on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday and also tipped wins for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona, potentially setting up a round of semi-finals decked with Europe’s best teams.

There have been 13 goals in the two Premier League meetings between Liverpool and Man City this season.

Pep Guardiola’s men won 5-0 at the Etihad before the Merseysides won 4-3 at Anfield in January.

It’s going to be one of the biggest games of the season on Wednesday night, especially in terms of English football as two heavyweights showdown. Everyone will be watching Mohamed Salah to see if he can continue his goal scoring blitz but Liverpool’s defence will surely be the biggest talking point after the game as Man City have already beaten it eight times this season. There is bound to be a lot of goals yet again and Collymore probably is not going to be too far off with his prediction of a 2-2 draw.
