Stefan Borson: Man City ready to accept ‘£30m’ offer this month
Oscar Bobb could be set to leave Manchester City this month after falling down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
The Norway international started Man City’s opening three games of the season, but he’s since seen his opportunities limited.
Man City are open to selling Bobb in the January window despite him previously being highly rated by Pep Guardiola.
Borussia Dortmund are leading the race for Bobb’s signature, but any deal is yet to be finalised for the 22-year-old.

Why Man City are open to selling Oscar Bobb
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Guardiola’s side have typically sold players like Bobb for around £30-40million in recent years.
The winger joined the Manchester giants’ academy in 2019, ensuring they will make almost a pure profit on any potential sale.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “Well, the going rate has been between £30-40m for these sorts of players in City.
“Oscar Bobb’s a bit of an odd situation in that I think there were very high hopes for him this season. If you think about the first few games of the season, he was starting.

“He’s been displaced over time through a combination of disappointing performances and the performances of some of the other wingers.”
Bobb is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, with his latest appearance coming in Man City’s 2-0 victory over Brentford in the Carabao Cup last month.
Bobb in ‘sad’ situation as Man City exit edges closer
Borson insisted Bobb has been unfortunate with how his situation has played out at the Etihad.
“I think the whole thing is just almost quite a sad situation in that he was a player who looked like he was really going to be fantastic last season, breaks his leg, comes back, high hopes again but not being able to regain the form,” said Borson.
“You get very few chances in a club like City. It’s almost like international level, where you get one or two chances and, if you don’t take them as a new entrant into the squad, particularly for young players, I think if you’ve been bought for a lot of money, you get a bit more leeway because the club has got a bit more jeopardy there and it has to try and find a way.

“But if you’re a young player coming through, you don’t get many chances, unfortunately. I think it’s pretty ruthless and, ultimately, I think he’ll end up going for maybe £30m somewhere.”
Bobb has made 47 appearances since making his Man City debut in 2023, registering three goals and four assists in that time.
