Danny Mills heaped praise on Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko following his performance against Burnley.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the retired England international shared he believes Sissoko has got the superb attributes which are needed to be a top player.
The 30-year-old Spurs midfielder grabbed his second goal of the season in the 5-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.
Mills revealed that he was thrilled that Sissoko was potentially adding goals to his game as the midfielder has previously struggled to find the net on a regular basis.
When asked about Sissoko adding goals to his game, Mills told Football Insider: “I think Sissoko is one of those players Mourinho will like.
“He’s very athletic, he’s strong, he’s powerful, he’s a big lad and he will be utilised into that midfield to the best of his abilities.
“Mourinho likes those type of players in those big games when it is going to be tight.
“Sissoko took a while to settle at Tottenham, but I think he is a very very useful player whether you play him wider or whether you play him in an advanced position in midfield.
“Without a doubt, he has got superb attributes to be a top player if he can add goals to his games, even better!”
The Frenchman has scored a grand total of four goals in 146 appearances for Spurs since joining from Newcastle United in August 2016.
Sissoko is contracted to stay with the North London side until 2023 as he signed a contract extension in September 2019.
