Celtic face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night – and German winger Julian Draxler has warned the Hoops they face being torn apart by key duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
PSG spent over £360million on Neymar and Mbappe over the summer and both were on target in the 5-1 win over Metz on Friday night.
In addition to Neymar, Mbappe and Draxler, PSG can also call on Edinson Cavani as they try and secure their first ever Champions League trophy.
Former Wolfsburg star Draxler, as quoted by the Sunday Post said: “We have signed Neymar, one of the best players in the world, and with Mbappe we have one of the greatest talents in the world.
“I am proud to be part of this attacking superteam of PSG, and I will do my best to get into the team.
“It will not be easy for me to play every week, but I am confident enough in my own ability.
“We have a big squad, but there are a lot of games. We hope to go very far in the Champions League.”
Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani all got on the scoresheet against Metz as PSG warmed up in the best possible manner for their trip to Glasgow.
The free-spending Parc des Prince side are among the favourites to win the Champions League this season and will be hoping to get off to a strong start at Celtic Park on Tuesday night.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had their own thumping win on Friday night, beating Hamilton 4-1 through goals from Stuart Armstrong, Odsonne Edouard and a Scott Sinclair double.
Moussa Dembele could make his return from injury against Les Rouge-et-Bleu after being out since July with a hamstring and Leigh Griffiths should also be fit to return after missing the Hamilton game with a calf injury picked up on Scotland duty.
In other Celtic news, Chris Sutton believes that this Hoops summer signing is not yet the finished article.
