Swansea City and Bristol City race to sign Arsenal’s Nathan Butler-Oyedeji
Arsenal forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji is wanted by clubs including Swansea, Bristol City and multiple German teams, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at League One Cheltenham before returning to score five goals and pick up two assists in 11 games for Arsenal’s under-21s side.
His performances in the second half of the season have caught the eye of several clubs, with Schalke and FC Nurnberg among them.
Butler-Oyedeji failed to find the net in 13 appearances while on loan at Cheltenham.
Arsenal forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji attracts interest from Europe
Having joined the Arsenal academy aged eight, he signed his first professional deal with the club in 2021 but is attracting interest this summer.
With no first-team appearances coming at Arsenal despite his age, this summer will provide the chance for him to move on and he is expected to do so.
His loan spell at Cheltenham came off the back of a six-month spell with Accrington Stanley the previous season, where he also failed to find the net.
Another chance in the EFL with a move to Championship sides Swansea or Bristol City will appeal to the striker who has a point to prove in England.

Interest from Europe, meanwhile, has emerged off the back of his under-21s performances, with German clubs famed for nurturing young talent.
Schalke and Nurnberg finished 10th and 12th respectively in the 2.Bundesliga and will look to Butler-Oyedeji to turn their fortunes around.
In other news, Everton will accept £50million offers for Amadou Onana.
