Talks underway: Levy playing hardball in Tottenham negotiations for £35m forward - L'Equipe

Tottenham are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over attacker Lucas Moura, according to a report.
French publication L’Equipe claims on their website that Daniel Levy has opened negotiations with PSG and is looking to sign Lucas, 25, on loan until the end of the season.
However it is understood that the Ligue 1 giants are looking to sell Lucas for good in order to meet Financial Fair Play regulations that they may have been on the wrong side of when signing Neymar for £198million from Barcelona in the summer.
Levy is said to be playing hardball with PSG and the terms of the potential transfer appears to be a sticking point.
Lucas has been a fringe player for the Parisiens this season, making just six appearances in all competitions and scoring one goal in the process.
L’Equipe reports that the Brazilian forward knows that he must leave PSG in order to revive his career and is keen on a move to England.
PSG signed the wide-forward from Sao Paulo in January 2013 for a fee of £35million.
Football Insider verdict
Lucas is a very good player but is not getting a look-in at the Stade des Princes due to the sheer amount of attacking talent that is available. Spurs do need another winger in their side and the Brazil international could be the perfect addition – if they get him for a good price. PSG spent a lot of money on Lucas five years ago and they would most likely look to recoup around the same amount, if not more, by selling him permanently. Financial Fair Play is going to wreak havoc with the Paris club soon if they don’t offload some of their big-money stars who are sitting on the fringes of the squad.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs may pull off a Dele Alli-esque swoop for this attacker valued over £20million.
