talkSPORT pundit claims Pochettino 'froze' during Tottenham defeat v Juventus
Former Chelsea defender and talkSPORT co-host Jason Cundy has slated Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino following the defeat at Wembley to Juventus in the Champions League.
Spurs took the lead after Son Heung-min found the back of the net from seven yards shortly before half time with a scuffed finish from Kieran Trippier’s cross.
But Gonzalo Higuain broke the hearts of Tottenham supporters in the 64th minute and Paulo Dybala put the game out of sight minutes later with the winner on the night to make it 4-3 on aggregate.
After the game, Cundy stated on the talkSPORT Sports Bar on Wednesday at 10pm, that he felt the Spurs boss had been “found out tonight”, and added that the Argentinian “froze” after Juventus came back into the game and was slow to react to the bombshell that had seemingly knocked his side out of the Champions League.
It wasn’t until the 74th minute that Pochettino introduced Erik Lamela onto the field of play in place of Eric Dier and Cundy thinks it was too late.
The decision to not play Lucas Moura, who has a wealth of European experience, was also a mistake according to the 48-year-old.

Supporters responded to the former defender’s comments and agreed by and large with everything that the pundit had to say about the manager.
Football Insider verdict:
It’s not the first time that Poch has been slow to react in a game which hasn’t gone his way. It was a case of history repeating itself against Chelsea as the same thing happened in their 2-1 defeat back in August where it wasn’t until the 68th minute that the Argentine made a change. The former Espanyol player is unquestionably a brilliant manager, a great planner and tactician before the game. But once the game is in motion and isn’t going their way he looks unsure of what his next move should be.
