Tammy Abraham: West Ham & Bournemouth in talks after terms agreed

West Ham have turned their attention to beating Bournemouth to the signing of Roma’s Tammy Abraham, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the Irons do face competition to sign the former Chelsea man.

Abraham is viewed as a cheaper option than previous Hammers target Jhon Duran, with sources claiming he would be available for £25million.

West Ham agreed personal terms with Duran last month but could not strike an agreement with his club Aston Villa and the deal collapsed.

There is lots of interest in Serie A for Abraham, with AC Milan and Atalanta both being interested in the 26-year-old.

It’s believed that Abraham would prefer a move to AC Milan due to the club’s size and the fact they can offer Champions League football.

However, Abraham’s main focus for next season is to return to playing regular football following his serious knee injury.

West Ham are focusing on Tammy Abraham instead of Duran

The Hammers are in the market for a striker this summer, and Aston Villa’s Duran had been the main target throughout most of the window.

Although the two clubs have been negotiating all summer, Villa’s £40million price tag is now being seen as too high despite personal terms having been agreed.

It’s led to the focus turning to Abraham, who previously scored 26 goals in 89 Premier League appearances.

West Ham

With West Ham focusing on signing a forward this summer, Danny Ings is expected to wbe heading for the exit door.

Football Insider revealed that the Irons will need to sell players to make any signing happen, and they’re expected to accept an offer for Ings.
