Leeds should recall star man Charlie Taylor to their side which takes on Birmingham at St. Andrews on Friday evening.

The 23-year-old left-back has not featured for the Yorkshire giants since leaving the field injured in a mid-December clash against Brentford.

However, Garry Monk confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon that the academy graduate was “in contention” for the Birmingham fixture and that he is “naturally fit.”

This should see the young full-back come straight back into the team due to how pivotal he was to the club’s success before his injury, while he is also better going forward than Gaetano Berardi and provides another option.

Meanwhile, Kemar Roofe, Modou Barrow and Alfonso Pedraza should also come into the line-up with Hadi Sacko, Pablo Hernandez and Souleymane Doukara all dropping out after the trio struggled against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Rob Green is one of several guaranteed names on the team sheet and he has certainly shone in recent outings.

The 37-year-old shot-stopper proved crucial against Wednesday at the weekend as he also pulled off a fine save to keep out a Jordan Rhodes penalty.

The experienced man will however need to be protected by a back four made up of Luke Ayling, Kyle Bartley Pontus Jansson and Taylor to ensure his side pick up the three points.

Midfield duo Liam Bridcutt and Eunan O’Kane will also help form the defensive unit with the pair known more for their duties going backwards rather than forwards.

Meanwhile, they will also provide more freedom for the front quartet with Roofe playing between pacey January additions Barrow and Pedraza.

It is also a must that they supply the necessary service for star striker Chris Wood, who will be looking to add to his 23 goals this season against a team that have conceded 49 goals this campaign.

In other Leeds news, Luke Ayling has aimed a humorous dig at Chris Wood.
