Teenage duo start in Bruce 4-2-3-1: Aston Villa best possible XI to face Wolves
COMMENT by Amir Mir
Steve Bruce should make two changes to the Aston Villa side that takes on Wolves in the Championship on Saturday evening.
The Midlands side were knocked out of the FA Cup during their last fixture when Premier League side Tottenham recorded a comfortable 2-0 win at White Hart Lane.
The promotion expert must drop Gabby Agbonlahor and Leandro Bacuna for the weekend encounter, with teenage duo Keinan Davis and Andre Green coming into the starting fold.
Academy product Green, 18, should be given his first start as Villa desperately require some attacking threat and quality down the left-hand side.
Versatile player Bacuna, simply cannot provide that threat as his ability going back to defend is also questionable.

Additionally, he fails to keep hold of possession, in both attack and defence, which continuously hurts Villa’s all round play.
Furthermore, the club’s longest-serving player, Agbonlahor must be axed from the squad altogether as he fails to bring any quality to the team.
Therefore, youngster Davis, who has been impressing for the u-23s, he scored a brace in midweek, should start ahead of the senior duo McCormack and Agbonlahor.
Bruce simply needs to breathe fresh life into this stuttering team that is failing to show signs that it will finish in the top six.
In the middle of the park, Aaron Tshibola should partner Mile Jedinak, as the duo are the best midfield partnership in the squad at this moment in time.
In defence, Bruce should stick with Jordan Amavi, Nathan Baker, James Chester and Alan Hutton as Villa don’t have any quality back-ups to challenge them for a first-team spot.
Finally, on-loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone should start between the sticks after impressing on his debut last Sunday.
