'Thanks for the motivation', 'Joke'- Celtic fans react on Twitter to Barry Ferguson claims
Celtic fans on social media have laughed off claims made by former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson that the Hoops were ‘lucky’ to win last month’s Old Firm encounter at Ibrox.
The Hoops played with 10 men for forty minutes after the sending-off of Jozo Simunovic, but still managed to win 3-2, despite this Ferguson claimed in his Daily Record column that the Bhoys were fortunate to get the three points.
Unsurprisingly this hasn’t gone down well with Hoops fans, with one claiming that Ferguson’s comments will give the team plenty of motivation for Sunday’s Old Firm Scottish Cup semi-final.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Ferguson’s comments:
10 men for 35 minutes. That’s not luck. That’s because Rangers just aren’t good enough.

The Hoops go into the upcoming semi-final unbeaten in Old Firm games this season, with two wins at Ibrox and a draw at Parkhead.
The teams are set to meet again for the final time this season in two weeks time at Celtic Park, a match which could see the Hoops crowned champions depending on results in the league games before that.
