The Premier League icons Erling Haaland could soar past this season after Cristiano Ronaldo beating
Erling Haaland scored his 104th Premier League goal on Saturday, enough to pass Cristiano Ronaldo on the all-time scoring list.
Manchester City beat West Ham 3-0, with the Norwegian getting his side’s first and third goal in a convincing win.
Haaland scored his 100th Premier League goal at the start of December, and the striker has shown no sign of slowing down.
Given his numbers, Haaland has been compared to Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and the forward has outscored the former in the league in a far shorter amount of time.
Here, Football Insider looked at what other Premier League icons the striker could surpass this season.

Didier Drogba – 104 Premier League goals
Haaland has already equalled Didier Drogba‘s Premier League tally, in 140 games fewer, too.
The Chelsea legend won the league four times with the Blues, his finest season coming in 2009/10 when he netted 29.
The former Ivory Coast international made a name for his ability to bully defenders, always applying a ruthless finish when he got past.
His record will likely fall to Haaland when Manchester City play Nottingham Forest next week, but the Norwegian still has some way to go to match his Premier League legacy.
Ryan Giggs – 109 Premier League goals
Ryan Giggs‘ Premier League goals tally will likely fall to Haaland this season, but the former Manchester United winger has another record that the striker will be unlikely to get his hands on.
The former Wales international provided 162 assists across his 22-year Premier League career, a number that no one has ever really come close to.
Giggs won an astonishing 13 Premier League titles – an achievement Haaland will also be unlikely to match.
But the Norwegian can and will surpass him in goals, with six more across the last 21 games of the season.
Ian Wright – 113 Premier League goals
With ten more goals, Haaland would surpass Arsenal legend Ian Wright in Premier League strikes.
The former England international is the Gunners’ second-highest goal-scorer in club history, netting 185 across seven years.
Joining in 1991, 24 of those came in the First Division, with some of the striker’s 113 Premier League goals coming in a later stint with West Ham.

Wright’s record could even fall by the end of January, should Haaland continue in this vein of form.
Raheem Sterling – 123 Premier League goals
It would take a record-breaking effort for Haaland to surpass Raheem Sterling in Premier League goals this season – his own record, that is.
20 more goals would make 39 for the season but the striker is well on course to do it, should he not face injury.
The two came within months of playing with each other, with Sterling joining Chelsea in the summer of 2022.
The winger is still in the Premier League and could add to his tally should he be granted a move away from the Blues in January, but for now, his tally stays at 123.
124 goals would place Haaland 20th in the list of the Premier League’s top goal-scorers, with every name above him in threat over the next few seasons.
