This decision proves Daniel Farke is completely out his depth as Leeds United sack beckons

Daniel Farke is quickly running out of time to prove himself capable of keeping Leeds United in the Premier League.

With early wins over Everton and Wolves, the Whites are currently above the likes of Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest and 18th-place West Ham, sitting 16th in the table after 11 games.

Leeds have lost four of their last five matches, however, with Jack Harrison making a major error against Forest during a 3-1 loss at the City Ground on Sunday, 9 November.

Despite taking the lead through Lukas Nmecha, the Reds instantly hit back through Ibrahim Sangare before one-way traffic led to a second from Morgan Gibbs-White and an Elliot Anderson penalty.

Daniel Farke could lose his job at Leeds United very soon

Following another defeat, Farke is facing serious questions from Leeds supporters, and his record in the division is not striking confidence into the hearts of any at Elland Road.

There was a lot of talk about the German being replaced during the summer, despite winning promotion to the Premier League, but the 49ers Enterprises decided to stick with him for the new campaign.

It has been suggested already that those who decided to stick with Farke could be regretting that decision, and the most recent performance shows just how out of depth the manager really is.

The Whites spent more than both PSG and Inter Milan during the summer, but even so, his team lacked depth at the City Ground, and that was clear by one of his substitutions in the closing stages.

Jack Harrison completely flopped against Nottingham Forest

Replacing Gabriel Gudmundsson at left-back, Jack Harrison came on for the final 10 minutes against the Tricky Trees, with Leeds hoping to inspire an unlikely comeback away from home.

However, the move completely backfired, ignoring the fresh legs of James Justin in his natural position, with the winger giving away a penalty, being dribbled past twice, and misfiring two crosses [FotMob].

It was possibly one of the worst cameos so far in the Premier League this season, but for those watching at the City Ground, very few were surprised to see Harrison struggle at full-back.

Clearly, Farke had a real belief that it was the right decision, and that is one of the many reasons proving that he is not the man to lead the Whites forward for the rest of the 2025-26 campaign.
