This free agent should be signed by Monk to aid Leeds promotion

Leeds should make a move for free agent Emmanuel Adebayor to help their promotion aspirations this season.
The Whites boss Garry Monk needs to strengthen his attacking options in the January window and may not even have to pay a transfer fee.
The Yorkshire club would be expected to pay a high wage for Adebayor, but Monk should prioritise his signing.
Leeds completed a convincing 4-1 away victory against Preston in the Championship on Monday and have maintained their position in the play-off positions in fifth.
They are enjoying a fantastic campaign and have a five-point cushion over seventh-placed Fulham, but are only at the half way point of the season.

Chris Wood is the club’s first-choice striker this campaign at Elland Road and has been supported well by Souleymane Doukara.
However, Leeds are not blessed with lots of forward options and would be in big trouble if they were dealt with some long-term injuries.
Adebayor would be a great addition to Monk’s squad and bring some top flight quality.
The 32-year-old still has several good years in him and has proven to be a prolific scorer in the Premier League.
He is currently without a club and the proposition of a Leeds team that are playing some good football could interest him.
Adebayor has enjoyed successful spells with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City during his time in England, but is yet to test himself in the fierce completion of the Championship.
The forward scored an impressive 62 goals in 142 appearances for Arsenal and could be the player to help fire Leeds to the Premier League.
Adebayor has been out of action since his spell with Crystal Palace ended in the summer and should be given a lifeline by Leeds.
