Striker a dream signing: Three players Celtic must sign after reportedly scouting international clash

COMMENT By Danny Wright

Celtic reportedly sent scouts to keep close check on Austria’s 3-2 win against Serbia on Thursday night.

Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung claimed on their website that a host of top sides had sent their recruitment experts to the World Cup qualifier clash, including European giants Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid.

Austria won 3-2 against the Serbs to stop them from earning automatic qualification as Group D winners thanks to goals from Guido Burgstaller, Marko Arnautovic and Louis Schaub.

Luka Milivojevic and Nemanja Matic were on target for Serbia, but they could do little to help their side as they now face an anxious final fixture against Georgia on Tuesday.

Celtic’s scouts will no doubt have been impressed by some of the talent on display at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna, and here, Football Insider looks at three players Brendan Rodgers must try to sign from Friday night’s match.
