Three PL teams in last-ditch battle to sign Celtic enforcer - report
By Aramide Oladipo
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is attracting serious interest from three English Premier League sides on the final day of the summer transfer window, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claims that Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Watford are all looking to snap up the 23-year-old on deadline day.
The newspaper reports that the SPL champions currently value the central defender at £9million.
The report claims that Leicester are looking at the Celtic man as they have failed with bids for defenders Calum Chambers, Jonny Evans and Mamadou Sakho.
Palace have reportedly turned their attentions to Simunovic as they have also seen a bid for Sakho rejected and they are awaiting news on Manchester City man Eliaquim Mangala.

The Croatian has been a fixture for the Hoops first-team this season, enforcing the back-four and completing the full 90 minutes in seven matches so far.
The defender has played an integral part in helping Celtic reach the Champions League group stages and only conceded two goals in the league this season.
Simunovic currently has three years remaining on his contract at Celtic Park.
Football Insider verdict
Celtic must do everything within their power to keep hold of the defender on deadline day. With the number of injuries in the defensive department at the club right now, they cannot afford to offload an important piece of the current back-four. There’s no doubt that any player would be tempted to a move to the Premier League but the clubs reportedly interested in the Croatian will surely not pose that much of a threat to the Hoops. Celtic are guaranteed Champions League football this season and it will surely benefit Simunovic to stay at Celtic Park to help the club’s progression in Europe rather than join clubs who are set for mid-table in the Premier League.
