Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom is expected to make three changes to his side for their clash against Wolves at Elland Road on Wednesday night.
The Whites were battered in their last outing against Middlesbrough when they lost 3-0 at the Riverside last week, so Heckingbottom may axe the senior trio of Vurnon Anita, Eunan O’Kane and Stuart Dallas after poor performances on Teesside.
Laurens De Bock, Adam Forshaw and Kemar Roofe are all expected to return to the starting line-up as Leeds gear up to face the Championship leaders.
Felix Wiedwald is expected to keep his place in goals despite there being a major outcry from fans to drop the goalkeeper after a rotten run of form.
Andy Lonergan is injured and third-choice goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell may not be deemed ready for such a big fixture.
Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper, Pontus Jansson and De Bock are expected to line up in the back four.
Kalvin Phillips is likely to partner the returning Forshaw in midfield while Roofe may start out on the right with Ezgjan Alioski on the left and Samuel Saiz in the No 10 role.
Pablo Hernandez is expected to return from injury but it’s unlikely that Heckingbottom will throw him straight into the mix.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga is the only centre-forward capable of finding the net for Leeds at the moment so it is very likely that he will start on his own up front.
Leeds can move up to 10th place with a win against Wolves, who are without a win in their last three Championship fixtures.
Nevertheless, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side still hold a six point lead at the top of the table and look as though they will secure promotion to the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, fans have gone berserk after this £500,000 Whites signing made a major admission about his move.
