22-year-old will struggle: Three things we expect from Everton in clash with Leicester
COMMENT By Matt Bullin
Everton take on Leicester on Sunday at Goodison Park in a huge game, with the Blues still hoping for a European spot.
Here are three things that Football Insider expects from the Premier League encounter.
Lukaku will score
The Premier League’s top scorer has had a quiet two games against Liverpool and Manchester United, so expect him to net at least once in this match. He’s struggled in the big games for Everton this season, but has been prolific against everyone else and has 21 goals in 30 Premier League games. With Leicester likely missing Wes Morgan at the back they will find it hard to keep the big Belgian in check.

The Toffees have had a difficult two games, and took just one point from visits to Anfield and Old Trafford – a fact which will have brought Everton fans down to earth after back-to-back thrashings of West Brom and Hull. They will be hoping Ronald Koeman has fired up his side ahead of a crucial game on Sunday and will be expecting a response. If they don’t get it quickly, they could turn on their team.
Pennington will struggle
Matthew Pennington is being touted to start with Ashley Williams absent due to suspension. But the 22-year-old will be in for a tough afternoon if he does as he will be up against a bang in-form Jamie Vardy. The England striker has found his feet following Claudio Ranieri’s sacking and has scored five goals in his last five games. Pennington hardly impressed against Liverpool and United, and in what will be only his third appearance of the season, he will struggle with Vardy’s pace and movement. This could be a key battle in the game.
