It’s not been perfect – a look at the results would show that – but since coming back into the first-team Jason Holt has made a great show of trying to impress the manager and fans.

The midfielder was particularly impressive in the first-half against the Dons as he done a lot of the running to cover for Carlos Pena.

Holt’s willingness to get forward paid off with the Gers’ second goal after Holt’s run and pass found Carlos Pena who scored.

The Gers collectively took their foot off the gas a bit in the second-half as they saw out a win over Derek McInnes’ side and it will be interesting to see what happens with Holt when a new manager is appointed and Graham Dorrans is fit again.
