£23m signing must be axed after shocker: Three things learned about Tottenham in win v Palace
AURIER MUST BE AXED
Serge Aurier had an absolute howler against Palace on Sunday and grabbed himself an unwanted Premier League record in the process.
The full-back, who signed from Paris Saint-Germain for £23million in the summer, seemed unable to pass the ball beyond anything simple and the hat-trick of foul throws he gave away – something never before achieved by a player in the Premier League – summed up a poor performance.
The Ivory Coast international then had one of the worst misses in English football when he made a complete hash of an open goal opportunity to take the lead in the final 10 minutes.
Pochettino must look to axe Aurier for upcoming fixtures and play Kieran Trippier instead.
The former Burnley star has been in much better form this season and deserves to be playing.
