Midfielder could be axed after shocker: Three things learned from Rangers in loss v Kilmarnock
Murty needs to decide who his main striker is
The Gers have been fairly consistent under Graeme Murty in the way they shape up with one main striker and a secondary striker/number 10 in behind him.
Josh Windass has been pretty much the only pick playing off the main striker but the introduction of Jason Cummings ahead of Alfredo Morelos suggests the Gers boss might be having some doubts over who his first-choice striker is.
While Murty’s team selections have pretty much confirmed so far that Morelos is his pick, if the Gers want to sign Cummings permanently in the summer they might need to convince the on-loan Nottingham Forest star he isn’t simply going to play back-up to the Colombian.
Cummings has only made two Scottish Premiership starts since arriving at Ibrox but that could change soon if Murty is to convince him his long-term future is at Ibrox.
