Rangers fell to a surprise 2-0 defeat by Hamilton at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership as they kept up their inability to win three games on the spin.

Two counter attack goals from the visitors secured the win in a game Rangers really should have won.

The Gers dominated the first-half but couldn’t find a way through the visitor’s defence despite creating a number of chances.

Alfredo Morelos could have had a couple of goals before half-time but failed to break the deadlock.

Accies took the lead early in the second-half after former Gers winger David Templeton picked up on a horrible back pass from Ross McCrorie before rounding Wes Foderingham to score.

Graeme Murty’s side continued to push forward looking for a goal and were hit with a late sucker-punch when Accies made it two after a quick break when Darren Lyon tapped home.

The result leaves Rangers nine points off Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic in fourth place.
