Duo are hugely overrated: Three worst Arsenal players from defeat against West Brom

COMMENT by Amir Mir

Football Insider analyses the three worst Arsenal players from their 3-1 defeat at West Brom on Saturday afternoon at the Hawthorns.

Laurent Koscielny

For a senior player and someone who is arguably regarded as one of the best defenders at the club, Koscielny is once again proving that he is hugely overrated. The France international failed to provide any leadership or organisation to his defence. Arsenal were all over the place against the Baggies and Koscielny was being beaten in the air on a number of occasions.

Theo Walcott

Yet another hugely overrated player in the Arsenal team who was rightly axed from the England squad that was announced by Gareth Southgate earlier on in the week. The pacy wide man was substituted in the second half but it is fair to say despite all the possession his team had, he failed to provide any threat to the West Brom defensive backline.

David Ospina

It was a nightmare game for the Arsenal backup keeper. Ospina came on in the first half for the injured Petr Cech with the score at 1-1. However, he was at fault for Tony Pulis’ side re-taking the lead when he failed to get rid of the danger in his penalty area. That mistake proved to be costly for his side because they went on to concede another goal and lose their third consecutive away game.
