Three years ago: Harry Kane reminisces on Instagram about Tottenham moment

By Dominic Toner

Harry Kane has posted an Instagram message reminiscing about his first ever Premier League goal.

The 23-year-old netted his first ever top flight goal exactly three years ago on April 7 2014, when Spurs defeated Sunderland 5-1 at White Hart Lane.

He has gone on to become a crucial player for the north London club and his league tally is now at 68 goals, with many people tipping him to challenge Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record (260).

Kane has fondly remembered his Sunderland goal on the three-year anniversary of the game on social media.

“Three years ago today I score my first Premier League goal! Still remember it like it was yesterday,” Kane wrote on his official Instagram account.

Kane has continued to play a major role this season for Spurs and scored 24 goals in just 29 matches across all competitions.

The forward has been unfortunate with a couple of ankle injuries this season and has missed the last three league games.

However, manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that the striker will be back in the squad on Saturday for the league match against Watford.

Kane has gone on to become one of the most feared attackers in the Premier League during the last three years and is still in the race for this season’s golden boot.
