Alan Hutton claims that Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara would be the perfect player for Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa thanks to his energy and dynamism in the middle of the park.

The former Aston Villa and Rangers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the Finnish international has proven his worth to Steven Gerrard’s side over the past 10 months and that he could fit in seamlessly at Elland Road.

As revealed exclusively by Football Insider, Leeds are among a number of clubs chasing the signing of the 24-year-old after emerging as a top talent at Ibrox, with a valuation of £8million-plus on his head.

Hutton says that Bielsa’s demanding style of play should not pose a problem to the former Dundee man and suggests he could make the move from Glasgow to Leeds look easy.

Speaking of Bielsa’s methods, Hutton told Football Insider: “That’s a guy that physically demands a lot.

“Kamara’s a young, fit guy who can get about, really energetic and also get up and down the pitch and I really think that’s the type of player that he looks for.

“He’s got all the qualities, he ticks all the boxes, it wouldn’t surprise me if something came up in January.”

Kamara, who joined Rangers for just £50,000 back in January, has established himself as a mainstay of the starting XI under Steven Gerrard with 36 appearances across all competitions at Ibrox.

This season has seen him turn out 20 times for the Light Blues in both the league and cups, with his only goal coming in the League Cup win over Livingston.

In other Leeds United news, Danny Mills claims that the club have agreed contract terms with a Premier League ready talent.
