By Amir Mir

Tom Davies expressed his delight on Twitter after Everton beat Manchester City 4-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the club as Ronald Koeman’s side beat the Premier League title chasers in emphatic fashion.

Striker Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring in the first half with the Toffees scoring with their first shot on target.

That sequence continued throughout the game as winger Kevin Mirralas doubled his side’s advantage straight after the break.

Academy product Davies then produced a moment of magic when he ran at the City defence before eventually finishing the move off with a sublime dink over Claudio Bravo.

After the game, Davies was clearly ecstatic at netting his maiden goal as posted on his personal Twitter account.

Midfielder Davies showed off his array of passing and technical ability throughout the match which impressed the Goodison Park faithful.

Davies has played seven Premier League games for Koeman’s side this season, providing one assist adding to his goal against City.

It was the second consecutive game that Koeman opted to start Davies in the league and he will be looking to continue that run against Crystal Palace next Saturday.

Sam Allardyce’s side, who are one place above the drop zone, were beaten 3-0 at West Ham on Saturday.
