Tony Xia has confirmed that Aston Villa are ‘definitely’ going to bring in a few more additions to the squad, but admitted the task will be difficult.
As reported by the Telegraph, Villa have targeted Huddersfield Town’s Nahki Wells and Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford.
Villa’s new chief was responding to a supporter’s comment on how many loans or transfers will be made before the transfer window shuts. Xia said that he wouldn’t know the answer until ‘the last minute.’
“No [On number of transfers], can’t be confirmed since it’s very complicated,” Xia wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Definitely a few more but don’t know how many until the last minute.”

The Midlands side have already added six new players to their squad this summer, since Xia purchased the club for £75million in June.
Mile Jedinak was the club’s latest signing, when the Crystal Palace midfielder signed a three-year deal with the Championship club on Wednesday afternoon.
The club’s most expensive signing has been Ross McCormack, who signed for a Championship record fee of £12million from Fulham.
In other Aston Villa transfer news, the club’s £14.5 million midfield target is close to agreeing terms with a Serie A side.
