Tony Xia has urged Aston Villa ace Conor Hourihane to “keep going” after he scored his first goal for the club against Bristol City on Tuesday night.
Steve Bruce has managed to stop the slump at Villa Park with the 2-0 win against the Robins following the three points against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
Prior to their clash against the Rams at the weekend, the Midlands club had picked up only one win since Boxing Day.
A worrying sign for a team that had spent big during the previous two transfer windows and had plans to earn instant promotion back to the Premier League.
Nonetheless, back-to-back wins have helped ease the pressure on Bruce, with Xia sending this message to midfielder Hourihane after the three points against Lee Johnson’s side.
“Keep going, Conor,” Xia wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Xia is very outspoken on social media with the Chinese businessman regularly interacting with supporters.
After adding nine players to the club’s relegation squad in the summer, Xia purchased eight more players during the January window after Villa struggled to adapt to the second tier.
Playmaker Hourihane was one of the players purchased by the second city club after he made a move from Yorkshire outfit Barnsley.
The Irishman was joined by loanee Sam Johnstone, Henri Lansbury, Birkir Bjarnason, Jacob Bedeau, James Bree, Scott Hogan and Neil Taylor.
In other Aston Villa news, supporters slated this 27-year-old after the win against Bristol City.
