Celtic fans on Twitter were full of praise for young star Jack Aitchison after his goal scoring display against Rangers on Thursday evening.
The Hoops’ Under-17s were tasked with the job of taking on their Gers counterparts at Firhill for the Glasgow Cup final, which was also bound to catch the eye of both sets of supporters.
It was clear that the two young teams were from the most reputable sides in Scotland with it resulting in a close 2-1 win in the direction of Celtic with Aitchison scoring the decider after 68 minute.
The 17-year-old is highly thought of in the Hoops’ youth ranks and after he shared his delight on his personal Twitter account following the match many on social media were keen to congratulate him.
One Celtic supporter hailed the young teen as “top class”, while others urged him to continue with what he was doing and he would soon make it back into the first team.

Aitchison became Celtic’s youngest ever player and scorer after making his competitive debut in a 7-0 win against Motherwell in May 2016 aged 16 years and 71 days.
He has since featured twice more for the first team with his most recent appearance a 13 minute substitute outing in the 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle earlier in the month.
In other Celtic news, Brendan Rodgers has hailed this first teamer as the catalyst to the Hoops’ team.
