Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been wonderful to watch since his return to the Gunners first team, and has re-captivated the Arsenal faithful with a number of eye opening performances.
Today was no different, as Arsene Wenger’s men travelled to the south coast to play Bournemouth, losing 2-1 to the Cherries.
However it was Jack Wilshere who stole the show in the midfield, and was unplayable at times, leading to some fans taking to Twitter to rave about the 26-year-old’s showing, despite the desperate loss.
Here are a few of the best reactions:

His consistent performance level has lead to the fans calling for him to be on Gareth Southgate’s plane to the World Cup this Summer – and it is hard to argue with that point.
However, one slightly more concerning issue with regards to the Summer is that the 26-year-old is out of contract – and could potentially leave on a free transfer.
Should this happen, it would be the end of a 17-year association with the Gunners, as Wilshere joined the academy setup in 2001.
With more brilliant performances like today’s, it is hard to believe that Wenger wont offer the midfielder a new contract.
In other Arsenal news, Wenger is prioritising contract talks with two Arsenal standout’s over the Alexis Sanchez transfer debacle.
